We are so proud to have helped so many families achieve their dreams of parenthood over the last 20 years. Please join us in congratulating these new parents on their recent successful newborn adoptions.
Mike and Katie's son's birthmother first contacted Angel in March 2017, but she took until the end of the summer to consider an adoption plan. When she reconnected with Angel in July, she chose Katie and Mike as her first preference in families. Katie and Mike were able to spend time with their birthmother over the course of her final trimester, helping her through finding an apartment and getting settled. Sweet baby boy, Aspen Irelan James, was born November 18, 2017, exactly four months after his adoptive parents and birthmother first communicated. Through their 17-month wait, they remained faithful that the right connection was out there and we are thankful for Aspen's birthmother for choosing adoption!
Stephanie and Albert's daughter's birthmother first contacted Angel in August. She chose Stephanie and Albert for her daughter and connected with them on October 5th. They kept in touch, talking and texting. Exactly five weeks later, Bernadette Lorraine was born on November 9th! Stephanie, her son, and mother flew down to Florida and met Bernadette and the birth parents at the hospital. Stephanie spent hours talking with the birthparents and it was a wonderful experience. Stephanie and Albert were 22 months into their 24-month contract and were beginning to think adoption would not happen for them. We are grateful that Stephanie and Albert kept their faith in Angel and that Bernadette's birthparents were able to give them the most wonderful gift!
In the rare instance that a birthmother requests a closed adoption, Angel will always respect her wishes. This was the case for Chris and Danielle's birthmother. Chris and Danielle put their faith and trust in both Angel and their social workers, knowing that their son's birthmother was responsive to those around her and her adoption plan. Baby boy, Blake Lee, was born on September 2, 2017, happy and healthy as could be. We are thankful to those women that make the brave and courageous decision to create an adoption plan for their children. What a blessing Blake has been to Chris and Danielle.
Derek and Aaron signed with Angel in April 2017, prepared for the long wait adoption often entails. In June 2017, Angel contacted them to let them know their profile had been selected by an expectant mother due in October. Derek and Aaron spent the better part of the summer getting to know her, and on October 11, 2017, Tobias was born! Derek and Aaron were able to meet Tobias' birthmother and her family at the hospital and spent some precious time together. While their time with Angel was short, we are blessed to have been able to watch Derek and Aaron become new dads!
Sarah and Steven's son's birthmother first contacted Angel in April 2017, confident of her adoption plan, but unsure of where to start. Angel was able to remain in contact with her, providing her the guidance she needed and helped her connect with Sarah and Steven in July. Sarah and Steven were able to spend a couple months getting to know their son's birthmother and were able to be there for her C-section, meeting their son Harrison William on October 9, 2017! Over the course of 14 months, Steven and Sarah kept their faith in Angel and that the right birthmother was out there for them! Congratulations to this new family of three.
Lisa and Stacy first communicated with their daughter's birthmother in early August, aware that the days were numbered before she delivered. They quickly built a very loving and trusting relationship, text messaging regularly. Adhara Vida was born October 1, 2017, and met her adoptive moms the very next day! Stacy and Lisa were able to spend their time with both Adhara and her birthmom and met for lunch before heading home. We admire the love that Adhara's adoption is formed around and cannot give enough credit to all three of her moms for always putting her first.
John and Emily had the opportunity to not only build a relationship with their daughter's birthmom, but also her birthdad! Over the course of four months, John and Emily got to know both birthparents and were able to provide support to one other throughout the waiting period. Baby girl, Nora Elizabeth, was born October 1, 2017, and instantly loved by both her birthparents and adoptive parents. We cannot commend Nora's birthparents enough for creating an adoption plan for her and are thankful for John and Emily and their loving hearts.
Congratulations to Tracy on the adoption of her beautiful daughter! Tracy is one strong mama who never gave up on the search for her baby girl. She finally brought her daughter home in July of 2017, after a grueling rollercoaster ride of failed adoptions and broken hearts. Thankfully, Tracy never gave up on us and we never gave up the search. She was introduced to her daughter's birthmom in June and spent almost two months in contact, being as supportive as possible when things got tough. Knowing that baby Bella is now in Tracy's arms reminds us why we fight for adoption no matter how discouraged we get or impossible it seems. Tracy knew in her heart she was meant to be a mother, and we knew Bella was meant to be hers. It's never easy to imagine the pain and suffering our waiting families and birth families go through during their adoption journeys. The sacrifices that are made to bring so much joy and love are undeniable. We know Tracy experienced all of this firsthand and we know there's no better home for Bella. We will never forget the gift that Bella's birthmother gave to Tracy, and we will never forget the unconditional commitment Tracy gave to the process. Thank you and congratulations, again, to Tracy and Bella!
Charity and Rob spent the latter part of the summer in contact with their daughter's birthmother, providing her the emotional support she needed. Sweet Alexis Maya was born September 27, 2017! Congratulations to Charity and Rob on the birth of their daughter. We are grateful for her strong birthmother for considering an adoption plan!
Although birthmother Christina selected their profile, Sarah and Mitchell had a unique connection with her in that had very minimal contact. They were able to put their trust in the attorneys who worked diligently to be sure Christina's needs were being met and that Sarah and Mitchell felt included in the process. Sweet Rosalie was born September 1, 2017, and met Sarah and Mitchell shortly after! They were able to share photos of themselves with Rosalie through the attorney and Christina was pleased to see how clearly in love with Rosalie they were. There is nothing more beautiful than a new Angel family!
After a few attempts at emailing back and forth, Matt and Tracy were finally able to connect with birthmother Charly via text message. They spent the first half of the summer getting to know her. After a quick weekend visit in July, everyone was feeling great about the relationship! Tracy and Matt were able to be with Charly when she was induced and met their son, Micah Charles, who was born September 18, 2017. They spent the entire time with Charly in the hospital and never allowed her to feel alone during this process. We are sending so much love to Angel's newest family!
Angela's life turned upside down in a matter of 18 short days. She found out on September 1, 2017, that she had been selected by birthmother Erica and started text messaging with her. By September 18, 2017, Angela's daughter, Tessa Marie Ayana, was born! Angela was able to be in the delivery room with Erica, who was quick to introduce Angela to the hospital staff as Tessa's adoptive mother. While the relationship was fast, it was a blessing to see the bond that Angela and Erica formed so quickly. Congratulations to all!
After birthmother Mia spoke with Melissa and Jon, everyone decided the next best step was a visit. Melissa and Jon made the trip to sunny California and met with Mia and her sister. Although it was an emotional visit, everyone felt very positive. They spent the next month in regular contact with Mia and made their second trip to California for Mia's induction, but not before enjoying dinner together the night before. Sweet baby girl, Hannah Jean, was born September 11, 2017, and met her adoptive parents immediately! Melissa and Jon were nothing but wonderful with Mia, and we are so appreciative of the bond that they formed.
Baby girl, Blakely Rose, was born on September 9, 2017, in Texas. Ryann and Aaron became proud new parents of this sweet angel. It was a story of great friendship and openness on both sides. They created a bond with birthmother Angela, attending doctor's appointments with her, and they were able to be in the delivery room with her. Congratulations from all of us at Angel on your new bundle of joy!
On September 9, 2017, new daddies, Brandon and John, welcomed their daughter, Lorelai Gray, into the world. Prior to her birth, Brandon and John spent two months getting to know their birthmother, Tyana, and took a weekend visit to meet her prior to delivery. We are grateful that Brandon and John were so open and loving towards Tyana, and cannot commend Tyana enough for choosing adoption! Congratulations to Brandon, John, and beautiful Lorelai.
Rich and Rob spent about a month getting to know birthmother, Antoinette, providing her with emotional support through her final month of pregnancy. They were able to visit her prior to delivery and everyone felt very positive about moving forward! Angel got the call that Antoinette delivered a healthy baby boy on August 31, 2017, but she decided she could no longer move forward with an adoption plan and chose to parent. As difficult as the decision was for Rob and Rich, they supported her. Just a week later, they received a call from Antoinette that she had changed her mind and was ready to move forward with the adoption plan. Rich and Rob flow to Pennsylvania on September 7, 2017, and officially became proud dads to Reed Jacob on September 11, 2017! Adoption requires patience, love, and understanding, even in the most difficult circumstances. We are forever thankful that Rich and Rob stuck by Antoinette and were able to welcome their son into their lives!
After several failed connections and a devastating failed placement, Anne and Jim were at the end of their adoption journey. Fortunately, the pieces came together at just the right time. A phone call about a baby girl born in Houston had them on a plane within 24 hours and heading one way into Hurricane Harvey. There they met their beautiful daughter, Olivia James, born on August 23, 2017. Much to their surprise, shortly after coming home with their daughter, a birthmother with whom they had previously been connected returned with consent to adopt a 19-month old boy! Within weeks, they were a family of four! Anne and Jim are a great example of the faith and determination it can take to become parents. We couldn't be happier for this family!
After a heartbreaking failed adoption in July, Julie and Carlo were anxious for another connection and remained hopeful they would find the perfect birthmother for them. On August 24, 2017, birthmother Kari contacted Angel. She had delivered a baby boy in her home that morning. After settling in at the hospital, she decided an adoption plan was best for her and her baby. Julie and Carlo were quick to head to Maine and meet their son, Greyson Michael! After discharge, they were able to meet Kari and spend time with her before heading home. Out of love for Kari, Greyson's middle name is after Kari's Uncle Mike. Julie and Carlo waited 23 months for Greyson, and we are in love with this new family of three!
Angel always prepares families that adoption may be a long process, but every so often, things happen much sooner than expected! Ricardo and Nancy signed with Angel the last week of June 2017, and planned to wait months for a connection. Much to their surprise, birthparents Samantha and Chris fell in love with their online profile the day after their son was born on August 18th. In what was a very emotional placement, Ricardo and Nancy met their son, Dominick Samuel, on August 25th. They were able to meet Samantha and provide her the reassurance that they would forever love and care for her son. Nancy and Ricardo showed so much love and grace towards Samantha, and we are forever grateful for this beautiful connection.
When birthmother Crystal first contacted Angel, she was confident in her adoption plan but requested to have no contact with the adoptive family. While it may have been a rare request, Chad and Jenny kept their faith in Angel and Crystal and chose to move forward with an adoption plan. Jacob William was born August 29, 2017, welcomed by his adoptive parents and new big brother. Congratulations to this new family, and thank you, Crystal, for putting your trust in us!
Families born from adoption form a special kind of love. When Dena and Jackie first started forming a relationship with birthmother Veronica, they knew it was something special. Throughout Veronica's pregnancy, Jackie and Dena were loving and supportive of her, tackling difficult conversations, and were even able to learn the sex of the baby together. After finding out Veronica was having a girl, they spent time picking out names together. Jackie and Dena wanted to be sure they were able to be present for the birth, traveling a week early to North Carolina to spend time with Veronica and her family. Sweet baby girl, Kennedy Ader, was born August 19, 2017, surrounded by the love of her three mothers. Congratulations to Jackie and Dena on the birth of their daughter and a big thank you to Veronica for being so strong during the adoption process.
Congratulations to Drew and Christi on the birth of their daughter, Hazel Grace, born August 15, 2017. We are so grateful for their birthmother, Becky, for making such a selfless decision and trusting Drew, Christi, and Angel throughout the adoption process.
In a quick turn of events, Jonathan and Tanya went from being parents of one son to parents to two! Jonathan and Tanya were fully prepared for a long adoption process, but after being presented for only one month, birthmother Kayla felt a connection with their profile and they started forming a relationship. Over the summer they were able to continue to get to know each other, and Jonathan and Tanya were there when their son, Cannon Cal, was born on August 9, 2017. Jonathan and Tanya adopted in five short months, but we are thankful they were prepared to move so quickly, and for Kayla for making the most selfless decision she could!
Nicole and James got a call from Angel Adoption that would turn their lives upside down. Just when they thought they were running out of hope, they were traveling up to Minnesota to meet their new bundle of joy, Annemarie Jean. Annemarie came into their lives on August 5, 2017, and she was the most beautiful thing they had ever laid their eyes on. They are over the moon in love! We are thankful for their birthmother, Donnella, who trusted the adoption process and found love in Nicole and James.
After a heartbreaking failed adoption in the spring, Tom and Chrissy were ready to jump back into the adoption process. When Ashlee contacted Angel in late July, thinking she may be eight months pregnant, we knew exactly the family for her! Tom and Chrissy were 100% on board with a quick adoption involving minimal contact with Ashlee. Sweet Isabella was born August 5, 2017, only nine shorts days after Ashlee contacted us. Tom and Chrissy were instantly in love with Isabella and knew she was their missing puzzle piece. While the wait for Isabella was long and emotional, she was worth every minute!
Having adopted from Angel the first time seven years ago, Matt and Jen knew to plan for a process that could take time. Much to their surprise, just five months after their profile was completed, they were chosen by a birthmother in a unique situation. Birthmother Madyline had been considering adoption for a year before she contacted Angel looking for a family for her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Naomi Sky. She instantly felt a connection to Matt and Jen, given their previous adoption experience. Matt and Jen first spoke with Madyline on the phone and then headed to New Mexico to meet Naomi and start the bonding and adoption process. Naomi was born to Madyline on October 6, 2014, and on July 28, 2017, Madyline made the brave and selfless decision to place Naomi with Jen and Matt. We are grateful for birthmothers that consider adoption, regardless of the age of their child, and thank you to Jen and Matt for opening their home to a beautiful little girl!
Kiersten and Angie first spoke with birthmother, Evelyn, on the phone. Then they were able to connect via video call and an in-person meeting. As their relationship continued to grow, Evelyn felt more and more confident in her adoption plan and in choosing Kiersten and Angela as the parents to her child. Andreas Daniel was born July 24, 2017, and was instantly loved by his new moms. Congratulations to Kiersten and Angie on their new bundle of joy!
Less than one month after a failed adoption, Angel contacted Jen and Matt about a sweet baby boy named Rylen, a four-month-old who was being placed for adoption. Despite their recent heartbreak, they remained open to the situation and met with birthmother, Tasha, and her son. After a weekend full of bonding and love, Jen, Matt, and Tasha all chose to move forward with an adoption plan for Rylen. Rylen was born March 13, 2017, but found his way into Matt and Jen's hearts on July 25, 2017. Congratulations to Matt and Jen on the adoption of Rylen, and thank you to Tasha for choosing adoption!
Throughout Kristen's four-month connection with birthmother Ravyn, they were able to meet multiple times, only being hours away from each other. When they meet the weekend after for a doctor's appointment and ice cream, Ravyn was the one to give Kristen her first Mother's Day card. Kristen, her mom, and her sister were able to attend Ravyn's final doctor's appointment and welcomed Jennings Lee into the world on July 27, 2017! We love seeing families build healthy, supportive relationships that will forever be a part of a child's story! Congratulations, Kristen!
