• What do you do at Angel?

  I'm a Profile Designer.

• When did you join the Angel team?

  I've been with Angel Adoption pretty much from the very beginning!

• What motivates you to get up and go to work?

  Since I am an adoptive mom, it gives me great joy in feeling the profiles that I create had a role in creating beautiful families.

• What is your favorite inspirational, motivational, or positive-thinking quote?

  "I have two children, one is adopted, I forgot which one."

• What's your personal connection to adoption?

  I had a high-risk pregnancy with our first child. He was 7 1/2 weeks early, but we were very fortunate that he was healthy. Our dream was to grow our family, but another pregnancy was not recommended by our doctors. The miracle of adoption and a beautiful birthmother blessed us with our daughter.

• What advice do you have for our waiting families?

  Stay positive and enjoy your adoption journey. Even though there may be bumps along the road. We had two failed connections, but in my heart I know that we just had to wait for the baby that God meant for us.

• When are you happiest?

  I am the happiest when I am with my family. As long as my children are happy, I am happy.

• What was something that happened to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?

  When we had the two failed connections, I was heartbroken. Now looking back, I realize that they were both blessings, because we would not have our daughter. I can't imagine our life without her.

• Where is your favorite place to be?

  On my days off, I like to go to what I call my "Happy Place." It's a GORGEOUS 70-acre farm with two goats, a pig, two ducks, a donkey, a pony, several egg-laying chickens, and a herd of 13 horses. One of those horses, Jack, is mine. I love just hanging out with him and his buddies in the pasture. For me there is no better place to just relax and unwind.

• What's your favorite TV show to binge-watch?

  I love the show Heartland. It reminds me of my "Happy Place." I binge-watched all 13 seasons. I can't wait for season 14!

• What's your favorite movie quote?

  "There's no place like home."
