November is National Adoption Awareness Month. It is intended to celebrate and raise awareness of adoption. This month focuses on building awareness of children who are currently in foster care and waiting for their forever families.
Though Angel Adoption only coordinates domestic newborn adoptions, we know that all adoption issues are important and deserve recognition. So we would be very remiss if we didnt take the opportunity to help spread the word and build awareness about foster care adoption.
The president usually kicks off the months activities with a Presidential Proclamation. During the month, states, communities, businesses, organizations, and families celebrate adoption, build awareness, and educate others through special events and activities.
The celebration culminates on November 21st, National Adoption Day, when communities across the country finalize adoptions together to create and celebrate adoptive families.
