dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
First off, we want to say we understand how difficult this decision probably is for you and how much time and thought you’ve put into it. We also want to thank you for providing an opportunity to a hopeful adoptive couple.
We’re guessing that many of the questions and concerns you have revolve around the care and love of your baby. We want to assure you that we’re open and fully dedicated to providing the best possible home, education, and life we can for our future little one. Both of us are fully committed to providing all the love, attention, and care to a child as we possibly can.
We also realize a bond doesn’t have to end at adoption. We want you to be as involved as you want to be in this child’s life. It’s not a fact we intend on hiding from a child but embracing and using the opportunity to show them how much love they have in this world from not two but potentially three or four parents.
We can’t wait to see what this next chapter in life brings for ourselves and for you. Whatever your decision, just know that we support you and appreciate both you and the opportunity to join you in this journey.
With love and admiration,
Trent & Khristina
About Us
Hello! We are Khristina and Trent from South Carolina. We met in college through a mutual friend, enjoyed a few years of dating shortly after college, and got married in March 2020. Khristina is a passionate early childhood teacher who spends much of her free time finding fun and creative ways to help her students. Outside of school, she’s an avid reader, loves exploring new places, and enjoys just about anything to do with water! Trent is a kind-hearted, thoughtful person who’s always looking for ways to help others. For his career, Trent is an IT solutions architect, which is just a fancy way of saying he loves solving problems with technology. Outside of work, Trent enjoys exploring multiple hobbies, most recently reading, coding and web design, and occasionally woodworking. Together we love exploring new places, especially those with new zoos or aquariums.
Our Home
We live on the outskirts of a large South Carolina city, nicely positioned for both convenience and tranquility. Raising a child here will be a delight, with numerous exciting adventures awaiting. We are already members of the local zoo and visit as often as possible. Additionally, the children’s museum offers immersive, hands-on play experiences. Our school district stands out as a “choice district,” granting us the freedom to select the ideal school for our child. Within just a ten-minute radius, we have access to excellent options, including the STEAM school where Khristina works. Sitting on a small lake, our single-story home boasts a spacious front yard inside of an older, quiet neighborhood. We are tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac and are fortunate to be surrounded by fantastic neighbors.
Our Extended Family
Our extended families are small but incredibly supportive. Khristina has her mom, dad, and sister. Her dad is eagerly looking forward to having a fishing buddy and spending quality time with his grandchild. Trent’s family includes his mom, grandmas, dad, and brother, all filled with excitement and anticipation to welcome the newest member to our family.
We believe in choosing family through deep friendships. Trent’s lifelong friend and his wife have graciously agreed to be the godparents. Equally significant, Khristina’s childhood friend is the proud mother of our godson, who can’t wait to become a beloved cousin.
We delight in forging new traditions and have a variety to share with our future child. Every year, we seek to cut down a live tree, craft small ornaments for Christmas cards, and bake delicious cookies to distribute among our friends and neighbors. During the holiday season, we find great joy in visiting the light displays at nearby parks. Beyond Christmas, board games are a constant source of amusement in our lives. We have even managed to get our loved ones addicted to playing with us on more than one occasion!
What Led Us To Adoption
We are beyond excited to start our adoption journey! We always envisioned that adoption or fostering would be part of our life at some point. Due to some complications with our own pregnancy journey, we’re embracing adoption earlier than anticipated. Regardless of the how, we are excited to open our hearts, arms, and home to a tiny human. Our friends and family are excited for us and cannot wait to be aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas. We just can’t wait to be “mama and papa bears.”

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
