About Us
Hi! We are Rob and Shyla! We have been married for five years and have been friends for a lifetime. We enjoy taking spontaneous mini vacations. National parks are one of our favorites to explore. We like to hike the trails and see beautiful waterfalls both large and small. When we travel, we always try to stop and support small businesses along the way, especially old diners! WE LOVE DINER FOOD! Both of us own small businesses and enjoy supporting others and giving back. Shyla mostly works from home a few hours a week. She spends most of her free time with our girls crafting, exploring, and homeschooling. She loves being a stay-at-home momma. We live in a small town in the country and attend a country church as well, where we are both Bible class teachers.Whether we are working together, on an adventure, or just swinging on the porch, we enjoy just being together as a family.
Our Home & Pets
We live on a 257-acre farm in a four-bedroom log home. We have over 400 fruit trees, a beautiful pond, and lots of rolling hills. We feed the deer in the evenings along with the fish in our pond. We love to sit on the front porch swing and watch the sunsets over the fields. We have two horses, two small dogs, four cats, and a new pair of ducks. We live just a mile from the best little small town, where we have a local diner with the BEST specials and rootbeer floats, town parades always circle twice with lots of candy, and everyone knows everyone. We love it! We have both lived here our whole lives. It’s a great place to raise kids!
Our Extended Family
Rob has two siblings, a sister and a brother. Rob’s sister has adopted seven children we all love in addition to her biological children. Shyla has two older brothers. All of our siblings are married with kids except Rob’s younger brother.
Both of our parents are still living and live within two miles of us. Shyla’s parents built a home last year at the opposite end of our farm, about a mile or so away. Rob’s parents have been married for 52 years and Shyla’s for 50. We both have several nieces, nephews, and a new great-nephew. There are 22 cousins total between the two of our families. We love having big family cookouts at our farm for any holiday, birthdays, or just getting as many of the kids together as possible. Easter is always a fun holiday here. We usually have a few hundred eggs hidden for all the kids to hunt. It’s so much fun watching them all run out looking. Everyone is so excited for a new cousin or two to join in on all the fun!
What Led Us To Adoption
We have seven adopted nieces and nephews. Life would not be the same without them. They are such a blessing to us all. We have watched adoption bless so many close friends and family members over the years. We are unable to have more biological children. Shyla had complications after the birth of our second daughter, and it was strongly recommended to not birth any more children. Adoption is something we have both wanted to do, and we feel the time is now to do so. We have so much love to offer, two very excited big sisters, two sets of eager grandparents, and lots of aunts and uncles who are all so ecstatic to love on a new bundle of joy. Your little one will be raised with so much love, grace, and happiness.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
