dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We know that considering allowing someone else to love and take care of your baby cannot be easy. There are so many factors to consider, but we trust you know what’s best for you and for your child. We’ve been through a lot to get here, but we also know you have already gone through a lot and will go through more in order to give us the greatest gift we will ever receive: the ability to be parents. Without you, we would never be parents, and that is something we’ll never be able to repay. We are so grateful for you and for the sacrifices you are considering.
We will love this baby. We will do our very best to honor you by being the best parents we can be and to welcome them and you, if you choose, into our family, our home, and our lives. We will teach them to be kind, to be loving, and to have hopes and dreams that we will work hard to help them achieve. We will make sure they never go a day feeling unloved or worthless and will try to ensure every day includes laughter, hugs, and encouragement.
Thank you for considering us, we would be eternally grateful.
Love,
Preston and Lauren
About Us
We met working in theater ten years ago. We got married in 2020 during the pandemic, and we live-streamed the event to our extended family and friends. Though we have both moved on in our careers, we both still enjoy watching theater productions. Preston is now an engineer for a company that builds and renovates theater spaces. He works from home full-time. Lauren is a librarian at a community college. She works part-time, and that gives her a lot of flexibility in her schedule. Her job comes with the added bonus of daycare through the college. In our free time, we enjoy board games, hiking, and relaxing with our two cats. Lauren enjoys baking, reading, and singing, and Preston enjoys working in his woodshop, tabletop RPGs, and soccer. We love to host our friends and family for dinner and game nights. We’re fun-loving nerds, and we love The Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, and lots of other geeky stories.
Our Home & Pets
We live in Lauren’s hometown, near her parents. This area is filled with growing families, and the summers are filled with the sound of kids’ laughter. There are bike paths nearby and several parks. We live in a walkable area close to downtown with local shops. The city hosts many festivals and events that we enjoy. We live close to several of our friends and some of Lauren’s extended family, many of whom have young children of their own. We love to host our friends for game nights or holidays, and we enjoy going out with them to shows or fun activities like pottery painting or mini golf. We also have two cats (Sabriel, age 10, and Susu, age 3), who are very cuddly and sweet; we consider them part of the family.
Our Extended Family
Preston has one brother as well as one foster sister, one step-sister (who has a daughter), and one step-brother. They all live in different states. Preston’s dad and step-mom and his mom also all live out of state but visit whenever they can. We like to play board games, watch movies, and go to museums together.
Lauren has one sister (with one daughter and one son) and one brother, who also both live in different states. The closest extended family to us are Lauren’s parents, who live six blocks from us and are both retired. They love being outdoors and love being grandparents. They especially love to spend time in the garden or out in the woods bird-watching, and they passed those loves on to Lauren. Lauren has a large extended family, and many of her aunts, uncles, and cousins also live within an hour of us; we gather for most of the major holidays. They are a loving group who dote on each other and love to laugh, cook, bake, and play games. We’re also a musical bunch, and many of us play instruments or sing.
What Led Us To Adoption
We had been married for about a year when we decided to start trying for a baby. When we found out we would not be able to have a child biologically, we gave ourselves some time to be sad and mourn what couldn’t be. Then we discussed our path forward. We still want to be parents, and we both agreed adoption was the best choice for us. We are strong believers in the idea that you can choose your family. Preston’s aunt was adopted, and he has a foster sister. Both of our families have been very encouraging. For all of us, this child will be an addition to our family no question, and they will be loved.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
