dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
The morning of our wedding, we wrote letters to each other sharing our excitement to take the biggest step of our lives together. At the end of Heather’s note to Nick, she wrote, “Let’s do this, shall we?”—an expression we would ask before taking on tasks big and small. Little did we know how much our favorite expression would fit as we venture into adoption.
We can’t imagine trying to decide who could possibly be good enough for your precious baby. Hey, we’re not perfect. We don’t know everything. What we do know is we’ve never been more sure about two things: we were meant to be together, and we were meant to adopt.
Becoming parents means so much to us. We’ve been part of other kids’ lives in so many different ways, whether it be helping raise nieces and nephews, coaching, or community events. Now we can’t wait to be part of our own child’s life. We want to parent with open minds and not raise our child to reach for perfection but to be good and decent. We have several passions, and we can’t wait to support whatever passions our child has.
If we’re blessed enough to take on raising your precious baby, we promise to work with you on whatever type of adoption you want. Most importantly, we promise to be here with you through it all.
So…a simple question for you: Let’s do this, shall we?
With love,
Nick and Heather
About Us
Nick is an introvert, but his family and friends would say he can be counted on through thick and thin. Nick has many passions, like reading, watching sports, fishing, cooking, playing golf and basketball, shopping for new clothes, and spending time in nature and in the city. He considers himself lucky to enjoy his job in corporate communications, but he’s ready to continue having family be a priority by bringing a child into the home. Heather is more of a social butterfly, but she still values the foundation of strong, real relationships. Heather enjoys volunteering, watching sports, shopping, trying new restaurants in the city, spending time with friends and family, and working on DIY projects. She’s excited to soon fulfill a lifelong dream of being a great mom. She genuinely likes her career, but family always comes first.
Our Home & Pets
We live with our goldendoodle, Muggsy, in a diverse suburban neighborhood we absolutely love. We are close enough to the city to enjoy it often, but our home is in an area we feel blessed to live in. We often have get-togethers with our neighbors and their families. There is shopping, sports, and dining nearby; a fire station right up the street; parks; and room for children to play safely.
Our Extended Family
Our extended families are a big part of our lives. While our grandparents have passed away, our parents, our siblings, and their families are very important to us.
We enjoy having cookouts with and meeting Nick’s parents for brunch or dinner. He also has two brothers, and we have three nephews and a niece on his side. We enjoy celebrating the holidays and their birthdays and spoiling them when we can! We enjoy going to sporting events with Heather’s parents as well as spending time on the lake up north. She has a sister, and we have a niece and nephew on her side. We enjoy taking the kids to the zoo and the mall and going on our family vacations to Disney World.
We both have a very special relationship with our niece on Heather’s side. We love all of our nieces and nephews equally, but we’ve been able to play a vital role in her upbringing through mentorship and shared passions. Nick also has a great friendship with Heather’s dad. Some would actually say they’re best friends. They enjoy going to basketball tournaments, watching sports, and taking on new fishing adventures.
What Led Us To Adoption
We consider the opportunity to adopt a huge blessing. The fact that we can give a child a great life is something that humbles us but makes us so happy and excited. We can’t wait to become parents! Ever since we first started dating, we talked about wanting to adopt someday (even if we had biological children). Our adoption journey started more quickly than we originally thought when we had trouble conceiving. Though there were options to try to have biological children, we decided against those as our hearts are with adoption. We are already busy making our house the best home it can be for a little one, and our families and friends are shamelessly buying baby items.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
