dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and learn more about our family. We cannot imagine the strength it takes to consider an adoption plan and commend you for your selflessness. We admire you for considering adoption. Trust is one of the most important parts in a relationship, and this decision is the ultimate showing of trust and love. Please know that our support of your decision and wishes throughout the process is of the utmost importance to our family. Our appreciation for you and your baby is beyond words, and we want the best for both of your futures.

We are so excited and anxious for this process. Knowing we are opening our home to not only a baby but their mother as well brings us so much joy and a sense of completion for our family. If you choose us, we are open to any level of communication you are comfortable with. You and your baby are already so loved by the possible family you choose to support your child throughout their life. Thank you for considering us and our family as a possible extension to your continuous love of your child.

About Us

Matt works as a government contractor, and Kristin is a special education teacher. We love to laugh and often find ourselves making light of most situations as we turn negatives into positives. We have three wonderful kids who like to play make believe together and play in our sandbox. They can’t wait for a new sibling to love, play with, and protect. Our family turns music on while making dinner and cleaning to ensure we have fun and make the work easier. We love spending time outdoors, especially with extended family at our cabin in West Virginia. Going to the community pools during the summer is a favorite of the kids, and riding bikes with neighbors is a close second. Walking around the neighborhood and seeing the wildlife around the nearby lakes keeps our family searching for new animals and insects to investigate when we get home.

Our Home & Pets

Our home is located in Northern Virginia, on the corner of two cul-de-sacs. The kids love to go outside and play in hopes of seeing the other neighborhood kids outside. Our community has several pools and a community center where there are sports and activities. There are several lakes and walking paths that families use to exercise and take walks on. The school district we live in is one of the best in the county! We are near downtown DC, and this enables us to visit the zoo, visit the waterfront, and see the Nationals play baseball. We have two Labrador retrievers, Gus and Finn. They love hanging out with the kids in our fenced-in backyard while they slide and play in our playhouse.

Our Extended Family

Our family is hilarious and extremely giving. Kristin’s brother and sister-in-law live two miles down the road, and they have two sweet girls, a toddler and an infant. Her mom and dad live ten minutes away and stop by often to give hugs to the kids and visit over dinner. The whole family gets together at local playgrounds and each other’s backyards to play and have family bbqs. Matt’s family lives in Florida but visits often. His sister has three boys and two step-daughters. The boys visit every summer!

Kristin’s extended family of aunts and uncles as well as cousins and their families all live in Maryland or Virginia. We celebrate all the winter holidays together and often plan get-togethers on weekends. There are two additional second cousins and one on the way! Our favorite tradition is Secret Santa at Christmas and playing a round of White Elephant with silly gifts. We love this time together.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption has been on our hearts and minds since we got married. We love children, and having a family that can share experiences and traditions together is important to us. We truly feel our family is not complete; we have so much more love and experiences to share. We’re excited to grow our family and know adoption is the path meant for us.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
