Thank you so much for taking the time to read our profile and for considering us to be the adoptive parents of your child. We can imagine this is a very challenging and emotional time for you. We respect the position you are in, and we know you are brave.
We want you to know we are ready and excited to grow our family. We believe every child deserves a loving, stable, and nurturing environment, and we are excited about the opportunity to provide that for your baby. We plan on providing your child with a safe and stable home and as many opportunities as possible to pursue and live out their dreams and interests. Your child’s life will be full of laughter, joy, and adventure. We will be there to support your child throughout their life during their highest highs and lowest lows. We know Landon will be the best older brother and will forever be thankful to have a sibling he can share an adoption story with.

About Us
We are Amanda and Kevin from Illinois. We met in our last semester of college and have been married for eight years. We adopted our son, Landon, in early 2023. He has been an absolute blessing and has enriched our lives in ways we could not imagine. We are a fun-loving family who enjoy bike rides, walks with our dogs, exploring nature, cooking, and hosting family game nights. We value our time together and living a health-conscious lifestyle. Kevin is humble, hardworking, and optimistic. He works as a police officer and is very active in the community he serves. Amanda is compassionate, creative, and honest. She works part-time as a nurse and loves being able to stay at home with Landon on her off days. Landon loves animals, riding his balance bike, swimming, visiting our local parks, and spending time with our pets. The three of us cannot wait to expand our family!
Our Home & Pets
We live in a rural community that has a small-town feel and the amenities of a larger city. Our neighborhood is quaint, and our neighbors are friendly. We help each other with projects and share similar passions like beekeeping and gardening. Several of our neighbors have farm animals that are fun to watch and visit with. We have high-rated schools in our district. We live in a three-bedroom ranch home with a basement, on several acres of land by a conservation area filled with lush trees, native plants, and wildlife. We have three loving dogs along with chickens and a duck that thinks she is a dog. All of our pets get along great. We also have six beehives that we care for.
Our Extended Family
Kevin has an older brother who is married with two children. Kevin’s parents are retired and are very active with their grandchildren. Kevin’s mom and aunt visit frequently to spend quality time with Landon. Kevin’s extended family is close, and we spend holidays and birthdays together. Kevin’s favorite family tradition is making homemade pierogi for Christmas Eve dinner.
Amanda has a younger brother who is in trade school. Amanda’s parents both currently work but love visiting on the weekends. Amanda’s favorite family tradition is an annual pumpkin carving contest around Halloween that her grandparents judge. Amanda’s extended family is very large, and despite some living out of state, they all get together to celebrate Christmas in July, which is full of fun and laughs. Amanda shares a special relationship with her grandma, and they are very close.
We have several close friends with young children who live locally, and we love watching them play and grow up together.
Our Adoption Story
After we were married, we were eager to grow our family but learned we were unable to conceive a biological child. We were not interested in pursuing fertility treatments and learned about adoption through a coworker as well as through a family friend. As soon as we talked about what adoption would look like for us, we knew it would be a perfect fit. We have an open relationship with Landon’s birthmother and are excited to share his adoption story with him as he grows. We love sharing our adoption journey with others and giving other families hope to grow their family through the blessing of adoption.

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
