dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We cannot begin to imagine all the emotions you must be feeling as you look through pictures, profiles, and letters while considering an adoption plan and familiarizing yourself with a person or couple to raise your precious child. We can tell your love for your child is unmeasurable. It is giving you the strength to put your child’s needs before your own wants. We are keeping you in our prayers throughout this emotionally and physically trying time.
We both have a strong love for children and have always had a desire to care for children. We are both looking forward to growing our family and being mentors to our own children like we have been with the children of family and friends.
As a family, we are looking forward to vacations around the country, day trips, and going to recitals or games, depending on the child’s interests. We will encourage them to participate in any extracurricular activity they are interested in. Bedtimes will be special to us and will include a one-on-one time with one of us reading a book with them and recapping the day’s events before tucking them in. We are looking forward to one day having our dream of being parents come true.

About Us
We are Rick and Kelley, and we met through the online dating sight Christian Mingle. We communicated online and by phone calls and texts for about a year before meeting face to face. We clicked right away and talked for hours about everything and nothing. We dated for six months before he proposed on the weekend of his birthday. We married one year after our first date. As a married couple, we have learned to be a team and approach life as a unit. There is no “yours” or “mine” but everything is “ours”—possessions, responsibilities, and family. We plan to continue to live our lives as best friends and family.
Our Home
We live in a small town in central Illinois yet close enough to enjoy the perks and benefits of a larger city a quick 15-minute car ride from our house. We still live far enough away for a quiet life though. Our neighborhood and community look out for each other and are always ready to lend a hand to whoever needs help. We have a park with a playground just over a block from our house. Our house is a ranch-style, three-bedroom, one-bathroom home with a fenced in backyard where our 13-year-old Maltese dog, Leena, can run and play. She is gentle and laidback and is good with people of all ages.
Our Extended Family
We want to introduce you to our extended family. Rick is the oldest of four with two sisters and one brother. Rick’s parents divorced when he was young, and his mother is now deceased. His dad remarried a year and a half after we married. Rick has one living grandmother. Kelley has an older brother who is divorced with 1 adult son, a daughter-in-law and 2 step grandchildren. Kelley’s father passed away in 2019, her mother is living across town from us.
The holiday season can be busy with a large family, so Rick and his siblings enjoy Thanksgiving with their in-laws. We enjoy a small intimate Thanksgiving with Kelley’s family. For Christmas day we go to Kelley’s mothers house. The weekend after Christmas we use our Church’s fellowship hall to have a big Christmas with all our extended family.
One Sunday a month we spend time with friends and have cookouts and game nights with friends throughout the year.
What Led Us To Adoption
From the moment we were going to be married we knew we wanted children right away. We are unable to have biological children due to fertility issues, and it was an easy decision to pursue adoption since we have always had that in our hearts. We look forward to growing our family through adoption.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
