dear expectant mother
When we think of you, the words that come to mind are strength and courage. The decision you are making, as heart-wrenching as it is, proves that both of these are true about you. What a selfless act you have chosen. We are aware that you could have taken other paths, and there are no words to express the magnitude of gratefulness we have that adoption is the path you chose. We are so thankful you are thinking of trusting us with this special and difficult part of your life.
We promise to share about your bravery and love and to always honor you when questions arise about you down the road. We know there may be a million reasons why you’re making this decision, but we also want you to know you are offering us the most precious gift we could ever have. We have not been able to have children biologically, and we fully believe that through you, our prayers for a family are being answered. Please never forget that your grief and hardship are not without purpose. You would be a part of our story now, the part where our grief is turned into joy. We pray that your grief will also be turned into joy whenever you think of your baby. We hope you are filled with inexplicable peace as you step forward in courage and faith. We would be forever thankful for you.

About Us
We are full-time missionaries who train young people to share the gospel to unreached people groups. We both love working with young people as mentors and teachers. Jonathan loves studying, reading, and teaching the Bible. He’s getting his second master’s degree in theology and is an incredible teacher. We both love languages. Jonathan has studied Greek and Hebrew, and Katrina is fairly fluent in Spanish. We think we have a pretty great sense of humor. Laughter is important to our marriage! We love to travel, and it’s a large part of our work. Jonathan loves to cook and is a master of the grill. Katrina loves making sourdough and learning new things to bake. We both love hosting and feeding people! We love rock climbing and being active by doing yoga, hiking, walking, or kayaking. We are both very creative in our own unique ways.
Our Home
We love living in Washington State! We moved a year ago from Hawaii, so saying that means a lot. Our neighborhood is not only safe; it’s incredibly beautiful. Our home is on the second story of a beautiful house. We live on a lake overlooking stunning, snow-capped mountains. Every window in our home is a lake view. We see bald eagles, geese, and ducks every day. We are also close to the ocean. There are many hiking and camping locations, restaurants, and so many fun things to do. We don’t have any pets currently but plan to have a puppy and maybe even chickens someday. We love our church community and have heard great things about the school district.
Our Extended Family
We have a large family, mostly on Jonathan’s side. We have parents on both sides and a 98-year-old grandma who is still going strong! Jonathan has a brother and sister, with a total of six nephews and one niece. Jonathan’s brother lives close, and we visit regularly. We have close relationships with his cousins, their spouses, and their children as well. Katrina has three sisters, two nephews, and one niece. They are more spread out but talk with each other regularly.
We have a lot of special Christmas traditions and have a wealth of family history. We go on a family vacation together every year. This past year, we went on a cruise to the Caribbean, and the year before, we went to Italy! Mostly we love being together. Katrina’s side has some special Italian traditions at Christmas, and Jonathan’s family does a huge dinner with the whole family. Jonathan’s side is Southern, and Katrina’s side is from the East Coast, although she and her sisters grew up in California. Gathering around the table is very important to us. Both of us have family members who love singing, dancing, and acting.
What Led Us To Adoption
Both of us wanted to adopt, even before we met and married. We love children and want to create a home where they can grow and thrive. We have many friends and family who have adopted, and we’ve seen how beautiful and special it can be. We are so excited to grow our family and have so much love to offer. Our story leading up to the adoption involved unexpected infertility and multiple pregnancy losses. Though our losses have led us to adopt earlier than expected, adoption has always been part of our family plan.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
