dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

No matter how many times I say it, thank you will never feel sufficient; however, that will never stop me from saying it. Thank you for considering me as an adoptive parent. I can only imagine what an incredibly difficult decision you are making right now, but I am so grateful for the care with which you are making this decision for yourself and your baby.

I am so grateful you would consider choosing me to be their adoptive mother. I am grateful you would consider giving me this gift of being a family with your baby. Without you, that would not be possible. I am grateful for this baby and who they will grow to become. I eagerly await the opportunity to help them discover their dreams, what makes them cry and what makes them smile, what comes easily to them and what is challenging, and whether they love creating, problem solving, experimenting, or teaching.

I commit to loving this baby for all the rest of my days and always reminding them of your love for them too. I will never stop reminding them of the difficult choice you made for them and that you allowed me to choose them too.

About Me

I am a down-to-earth woman who believes in living a purposeful and fulfilling life. I have worked hard over the last five years to invest in a career, hobbies, and everyday activities that bring me joy and sound fun to me. In my career, I work in human resources supporting employees across our company, and in my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to human development podcasts, exercising, spending time outside, visiting friends and family, and cheering on my favorite sports teams. When asked, my closest friends and family described me as loyal, determined, smart, empathetic, and dependable. I was raised in a Christian home, and while my faith has experienced its highs and lows over the years, it is the foundation upon which I live my life and my motivation to positively impact the lives of others both professionally and personally.

My Home

I knew the moment I laid eyes on my home that it was the place for me. With the tree-lined streets, friendly neighbors, and abundant natural light inside, it felt like home immediately. I am within walking distance of state and community parks, the arts, and other local attractions. In my free time, I am often outside taking in the fresh air, exploring new attractions in town, and interacting with my local community.

My Extended Family

As a child, I was raised in a family that spent Sunday evenings together at my grandparents’ house for weekly dinner. My aunt, uncle, cousins, siblings, parents, and grandparents gathered each week to spend quality time and enjoy Grandma’s cooking. This instilled in me a deep value, love, and appreciation for my extended family. I am eager to pass down this value to our family’s next generation.

While those grandparents have now passed, I am still close to my parents, siblings, siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews, and extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. The majority of my family lives within a short distance of one another, and visiting from home to home is frequent. I also live a close distance from one of my cousins, her spouse, and their son, so I enjoy time with them as well.

I have a very close relationship with my older brother, his wife, and their two children. Since they were born, I have built strong relationships with each of them and created special memories with them, including Nerf wars, library storytimes, trains at the museum, and more. Our entire family enjoys attending sporting events for the nieces and nephews, going on beach vacations together, and getting together for a family meal.

What Led Me To Adoption

From the youngest of ages, I have felt called to be a mother, and as I have moved into my adult years, I know in my gut that I have a lot of love to give. As a single woman in her late thirties, I am pursuing adoption as an intentional choice for how to share that love by bringing a child into my family. It may not be the most traditional path, but I feel confident about this calling to motherhood.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
