dear expectant mother
We cannot begin to imagine the careful decision you are making. We truly value the awesome responsibility it is to bring a child into this world, and we appreciate you taking the time to get to know us. We can tell you we believe what you are doing is extremely difficult and shows an immense amount of love for your child. We will always do our best to be supportive and helpful in any way we can, for both you and your baby, should you choose us.
Personally, we are overwhelmed with emotion! We are overjoyed and excited about the adoption process. We are hopeful, optimistic, and slightly impatient. After our journey with infertility, we are honestly hesitant to get over-excited for fear of being let down. But we also believe we have been led to adoption, to this point, which is exactly where we are supposed to be. We want, so much, to be parents and start a family, but we understand that nothing is guaranteed and are trying our best to stay optimistic and trust in the process.
More than anything, we are grateful and thankful you are taking the time to get to know us. We know your decision is anything but easy, and we have an immense amount of respect for whatever choice you decide to make. We believe considering adoption for your baby shows a great deal of strength and courage and the immense amount of love you have for your baby.
About Us
We met in 2010 when we both worked for the same restaurant company and instantly became best friends. Over the next six years, we traveled and moved to different states, opening and running restaurants together. Torrey is a chef who loves researching and developing recipes, and Allison is a server who spent 25 years as a general manager. We love cooking and eating out, hiking, going to the theater, and spending time with our very large extended family. Allison is an extrovert and Torrey an introvert, but both of us love gathering together with friends and family.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a suburb of a major city and have resided in the same apartment complex for about two years. We live near an excellent public school system, a complex and community pool, and an amazing downtown district with playgrounds, restaurants, farmers markets, and festivals. We have two cats, Juice and Luna. Juice is eight years old and loves people, napping, and food. Luna is nine years old and is more of an introvert but loves watching the birds and cuddling with her parents.
Our Extended Family
We are lucky to be in close proximity to all of our family. Allison has four brothers, and Torrey has one brother and one sister. We are very close to our aunts and uncles, who all live within 15 minutes of us. Allison’s family takes over hosting most holidays and celebrations, and Torrey’s brother and sister attend whenever they can. We have one niece and one nephew who live in Cleveland, one nephew in New York, and two more in Arizona.
We go to Allison’s mom’s house every other Sunday, where we cook, play games, and visit with each other. Holidays are very important to us, and we always celebrate them with as much of both of our families as we can. We are lucky our families, parents, and siblings have grown to love the other so that we are able to spend our time together with them rather than shuffling from one place to another.
After years of living in different cities and states, we are so happy to be back home, where we can see our family as often as we like.
What Led Us To Adoption
For as long as we can remember, we knew we wanted to be parents. We both were instilled with the belief that family is one of the most important foundations of our lives. Our families have helped shape our values, challenged us, and encouraged us to develop into independent, generous, and loving people. We struggled with infertility for three-plus years and made the decision to adopt about a year ago. We both decided, after much thought, that our path for a family would be through adoption, and we are excited for our journey. Our family has been touched by adoption more than once, and most recently, our nephew was adopted. He is a beautiful and adventurous toddler and has impacted our lives greatly.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
