Jeri and Christy welcomed their daughter, Jetty Ashe. They were honored to spend six months building a strong relationship with Jetty's birthmother and birthfather. Jetty's birthmother felt confident and peaceful about her adoption plan from the start, although she admitted that doubts would occasionally come and go like waves. After just two weeks of communicating with each other, Jeri, Christy and Jetty's birthparents started making plans to meet in person a few months later. After meeting them in person, Jetty's birthmother shared how happy and grateful they all were to have found each other. Chris and Meghan had some ups and downs in their adoption journey, however they never gave up hope of growing their family through adoption! When their son's birthmother contacted Angel just two days before he was born, they jumped at this opportunity before knowing all the details. Jordan's brave birthmother knew adoption was the best option for her son, and showed such strength and selflessness in pursuing this, even at the last minute. She even got to give Jordan his middle name! We are all so excited for this new family, and so grateful for Jordan's amazing birthmother who made it all possible!
Congratulations to Rhonda, who welcomed her daughter, Angel. Rhonda spent less than a month getting to know Angel's birthmother and getting everything prepared for the birth. The timeframe did not make much of a difference, as they connected instantly and quickly grew fond of one another. Just a few days before she went into labor, Angel's birthmother expressed that she had been fairly nervous about everything, but a lot of her fears were put at ease because of Rhonda. Rhonda made sure that Angel's birthmother felt completely comfortable with her and the plans they were making together. Baby girl arrived unexpectedly and Rhonda rushed to meet her beautiful daughter. It was love at first sight, for everyone. Rhonda expressed such love and admiration for Angel's birthmother: "She is not only beautiful, but wonderful, kind, grounded, loving and genuine. She named the baby Angel and just like her mom, she too is a joy and an angel. I am very happy, overjoyed and in bliss." We wish nothing but the best for Angel's loving birthmother and we know Rhonda is soaking up every blissful moment with her perfect daughter.
Alicia and Amanda had quite the adoption journey, however they never lost hope! When their birthmother reached out and wanted to begin a relationship with them, they jumped right into this new opportunity. After giving birth to Alexander, their birthmother had decided she wanted to take the baby boy home for a few weeks. This brave birthmother stayed in contact with them during that time. Although it was the hardest decision she could make, she did decide to stay the course and placed Alexander in their arms a little over a month later. Shortly after Kathryn's birthmother talked to Kristina and Jennifer, she knew they were the ones! Matt and Aaron were able to build a very open relationship with Aubrey's birth mother during her pregnancy. They communicated with each other for nearly half of her pregnancy! Aubrey's birth mother knew early on that she was pretty set on adoption. She was young and felt that it was just not the right time for her to be a first-time parent. Audrey's birth mother constantly told Angel how much she enjoyed Matt and Aaron throughout their journey. She appreciated that they didn't rush her in any way and always answered the many questions her and her mom had for them! These feelings carried over once Audrey was born. She told Angel at that time that watching Matt and Aaron interact with Aubrey was simply amazing. Congratulations to Matt and Aaron on the adoption of their daughter, Aubrey! With the help of her support system and an adoptive family that she absolutely adored, she remained strong and positive throughout her experience. Ava Monae's birthmother felt a strong connection to Nigel and Brooke, even before talking to Angel! After talking to them, she was more convinced than ever that they were the family meant for her daughter. Over the next few months, they were able to build a strong connection and friendship. They were even able to be in the delivery room when their daughter was born! There was not much time left from when Seamus and Jackie's daughter's birthmom began communicating with them and when their beautiful little girl made her appearance. However, this was not Jackie and Seamus's first adoption, so they were prepared for anything! When Nimmi's son's birthmother saw her profile for the first time, she said she was "stuck" on it. She knew something special was there and she began communicating with Nimmi over the phone. She was already about halfway through her pregnancy at this time. Nimmi and her son's birthmother quickly developed an open and honest relationship with one another. Nimmi knew the importance of always being available and committed to her son's birthmom, even through challenging times. Nimmi and her own mother were able to connect with birthmom and her mom at the hospital for the birth of this sweet, baby boy. Nimmi was even in the operating room for the c-section! The path was not always perfect, but it was a perfect path for these two women and the beautiful baby boy who is now surrounded by so much love. Shortly after they started their journey, Kenneth learned he was being stationed overseas and they would have to consider placing their dream of adopting on hold. While we worked through their options and possibilities, Khandy just knew it could happen in time, she held to that faith, and they did not put their journey on hold. It was only days later when Angel called Kenneth and Khandy with the opportunity of a beautiful preemie awaiting them in Tennessee.
