How it All Began...

I decided to give my baby up for adoption because I knew I couldn't afford a kid and I wasn't out of high school yet.

How did Angel Adoption help you choose adoption?

They helped me pick the best family possible.

What were your concerns going into the adoption process?

My concerns were I was scared I wouldn't find a family, and I was scared about how the baby was going to grow up.

What helped ease your concerns while going through the adoption process?

The fact that the families I talked to were all very nice. The people at Angel Adoption were also very nice.

How did Angel Adoption help you through the adoption process?

They helped me by giving me a variety of families to pick from.

What were you looking for in an adoptive family?

I wanted a family that would love her and take care of her. I picked the family I did because they were very sweet and they had other kids so she'd grow up with siblings.

How did your baby's adoptive family help you through the adoption process?

They always checked up on my and they were very supportive. They were excited about meeting their new daughter.

What type of adoption did you choose, and why?

I choose semi-open. I wasn't sure how emotionally stable I would have been after choosing adoption, so I only get pictures and letters.

Describe your thoughts and emotions before and after the baby's birth.

Well before I didn't want to give her up, but I knew I wasn't done with school and I didn't have money to support her. After the whole adoption was finished, I was very proud of myself for making that decision because I was so young. I definitely don't regret my choice.

What are you looking forward to now that the adoption process is completed?

I'm looking forward to going back to school and getting a career so I can one day get married and have my own family.

What advice would you give to other pregnant women who are considering adoption?

The advice I give other women is that every couple out there will love that child no matter what. It's also a relief if you can't afford a baby and someone out there can't have a baby and you give them yours. It's the best feeling.
