dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to read our profile to get to know us a little bit better. We can't imagine what you are going through right now as you make this difficult decision, but we admire your strength, your courage, and the love you have for your child and yourself. We appreciate you considering us to be the parents to raise your child. Our son, Rhett, is so excited to be a big brother, and he is looking forward to having a lifelong best friend.

We will show your child unconditional love and support and will provide him or her with an adventurous lifestyle. We are looking forward to continuing old traditions but also starting new family traditions together. We have a strong family support system with so much love to give, and we are all ready to welcome a new member to our family.

Heather and Brenton

About Us

Heather works as a legal assistant at a local law office, while Brenton is a salesman at his family-owned motor sports business as well as a volunteer firefighter. We met in the fall of 2012 at college and married in the fall of 2016. We enjoy spending time with our friends, but we also enjoy staying home and just spending time with our son, Rhett, whom we adopted in 2021. We have many friends who have children around our son’s age, so it is always fun to watch the kids play and see them grow up together. Our family loves spending time together with just the three of us. We enjoy going on walks, swimming, golfing, playing at the park, and just being silly. We look forward to sharing these same interests with your child as well as fulfilling our dream of traveling as a family.

Our Home & Pets

We purchased our first home together shortly after getting married. Our home is a beautiful five-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath, ranch-style home in a neighborhood full of kids. We have a large, fenced-in yard with lots of room to play, along with a local park just down the street. For a small town, we have one of the top schools in the state. We have two Labs we absolutely love, Missy and Bella. Missy loves to run, and Bella loves to play fetch. They are both extremely good with kids and love treats and belly rubs.

Our Extended Family

Brenton’s family lives in the same town as we do, and we always get together for holidays, birthdays, and a weekly family dinner and game night. Brenton has one sister, who is married, and they have two little girls. His parents and his uncle all live in our town, so we see them often. Every year on Labor Day weekend, we rent a cabin in the Black Hills and spend the weekend riding ATVs and UTVs, playing games, and relaxing.

Heather’s family lives a few hours away, but we see them every month or every other month. Heather has one sister who is married with two children and many extended family members whom we see at holiday gatherings. Every year for Thanksgiving, Heather’s family and extended family rent a huge cabin for a week and play games, hike, and enjoy the many different activities the state park has to offer.

Both of our families are excited to add another new member to the family and look forward to seeing our family grow. Our families have been so supportive and are excited to be joining us on this journey.

Our Adoption Story

After we got married, we were both excited to start having a family right away. We both have dreamed of having a family one day, and after pursuing unsuccessful fertility treatments, we started looking into other ways to grow our family. In 2021 we adopted our son, Rhett, and he has been the greatest blessing. We are ready to grow our family again through adoption.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
