dear expectant mother

We have so much love and respect for you. We understand this is probably the most difficult decision you’ve ever considered. We can’t imagine what you must be feeling and going through physically, mentally, and emotionally. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at our profile. We are honored and grateful you are considering us.

We want you to know how incredibly strong, selfless, and loving you are. We deeply admire your courage and your bravery. Just know that you are not alone; we will absolutely support you in every way we can. Whether you choose to parent your baby or make an adoption plan, we respect you and the choice you make. We are open to as much communication as you’d like, whether that’s annual photos and letters, video calls, in-person visits, or no contact.

If you choose us, we promise to endlessly love and support both you and your baby. You and your baby will be loved not just by us but by our amazing families as well. Despite the level of communication you choose, we will always consider you to be family. We will make sure your baby knows how much you love them, and we will never take your incredible blessing for granted. We will support your baby’s dreams and aspirations, provide them with every opportunity we can, and provide the most loving, encouraging, supportive home we can.

About Us

We are a fun-loving, outgoing, family-oriented couple. Carlos is active duty military and currently works as a corpsman in the dermatology department. At his previous duty station, he worked in the NICU taking care of newborn babies and earned several awards. Amber works as an economist for the government. We love to enjoy life, go to the beach, go hiking and kayaking, attend sports games and concerts, travel, spend time with family and friends playing video and board games, watching movies, and cooking together. Amber volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters and adores her little sister. We both grew up playing sports. Amber played softball, while Carlos played football and soccer. We also love to travel. Amber spent a year in Brazil as a foreign exchange student and six months in Spain during college. We both dream of traveling together as a family in the future.

Our Home & Pets

We currently live in a two-bedroom townhome on a military base. Our neighbors are also military, and we have become incredibly close and consider many of them to be family. Our neighborhood is very family friendly and safe. If you sit outside, you will often see the neighbor kids running around playing with their friends, going back and forth between homes. There is a large park two blocks away with playground equipment, basketball courts, and a dog park. We have two sweet dogs: a nine-year-old golden retriever named Bailey and a seven-month-old black Labrador named Maverick. We often take them for walks to the dog park, where they love to play fetch and play with the other dogs.

Our Extended Family

Family is incredibly important to us as we both grew up in close-knit, loving families. Carlos grew up in Missouri with five brothers and sisters. His dad sadly passed away in 2016. His dad was the life of the party and loved talking about his kids at work. His mom and siblings still live in Missouri. His oldest sister has two children, whom we are incredibly close to. His mom loves to host dinner parties for holidays and birthdays, which is where we met. Amber was friends with his older sister, and we met at Thanksgiving dinner when his mom invited Amber to dinner.

Amber grew up in rural Illinois with her parents and her older brother. They had horses, chickens, goats, and a cow. Some of her favorite memories involve riding horses as a family. She grew up incredibly close to two of her cousins as they were together almost daily during childhood. They were more like siblings than cousins. Growing up, weekends were almost always spent at her maternal grandparents’ house along with her cousins. Her grandparents lived next door to a park where she and her cousins would play. Her family still gets together for game night once a month.

What Led Us To Adoption

Since the early days of our relationship, we have always talked about wanting children. We’ve both wanted to be parents for as long as we can remember. We absolutely love and excel at our roles as auntie and uncle and cherish spending as much time with our nieces and nephews as we can. Due to a history of infertility, from the beginning, we discussed that if we couldn’t have biological children, we would love to adopt. We have lots of friends who have adopted previously, and we have witnessed firsthand the blessing that adoption is. We truly believe we were meant to be parents and that adoption is the path we were chosen for.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
